Dog is a domestic animal and hails from the family of carnivorous animals. But all kinds of dogs are available tame as well as wild and they serve a variety of purposes. It can be pet too. It is most widely tamed pet animal and you will find several people having dogs as pets. Variety of breeds of dogs are available and again colors of dogs too vary a lot and a wide variety is available to choose from. Their hair can be either straight or curly. They are known for their loyalty to their masters and quick wittedness. They are social beings too and they love to play with kids. They are tamed and respected in all cultures alike.

They are considered to be a part of the family and when in army they work like soldiers assisting the police to catch the thief. They are trained for sports too and are good at it. The dog sports is a fun for humans to watch to. There are few dogs rated as champions too. Its their loyalty which assists them to be acceptable by all. Dog live stock is raised at certain places too and its meat is used for consumption by the humans.
